    Quansah is closing in on a £34 million (€40m/$45.8m) transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, who are now managed by former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag. It should mean more game time for the 22-year-old, though Liverpool have given themselves the option to bring him back to Anfield in the future.

    According to , the Reds' option to bring Quansah back to Merseyside won't kick in until 2027, when it will be worth more than €60m. That means the young defender will have to play two seasons with Leverkusen before he can potentially return to Liverpool as a more rounded player.
